Every comparison on VetRxNow follows the same rules. We only list providers that clear our safety bar, show you a fair like-for-like cost, and sort by a rule we tell you about. What a partner pays us is never part of it.
Licensed or not listed
Every pharmacy, online vet and insurer has to meet our safety bar before it appears anywhere on the site.
Like-for-like costs
We compare on a fair basis, like cost per month for medications, so a bigger pack or a teaser price can't look cheaper than it is.
Never for sale
No provider can pay to be listed, move up, or get a label. Commission is not a ranking factor.
How we build every comparison
The same three steps, in the same order, for every pharmacy, online vet and insurer we cover.
We check who can be listed
Licensing, accreditation where it applies, and whether they require a valid prescription where the law does. Anyone who falls short is left out, whatever they might pay.
We collect the details
We check prices and key terms on each provider's own website and record when we checked, so you know how fresh the numbers are.
We sort by a rule we state
Each comparison opens in a stated order, like lowest cost first. You can re-sort anytime, and no listing is pinned to the top.
What we compare in each category
A prescription, a vet visit and an insurance policy are different purchases, so each category compares the things that actually change what you pay and get.
The same drug and strength across pharmacies, priced per month of doses, plus autoship savings and how each pharmacy handles your prescription.
Price per visit or per month, whether the vet can prescribe, hours, and which pets and regions each service covers.
Reimbursement, deductible, annual limit, waiting periods and exam fee coverage. Premiums depend on your pet, so each insurer quotes you directly.
What keeps a provider off our site
These rules apply in every category, and no commission changes them.
No license
Pharmacies, vet services and insurers must be licensed where they serve you.
Skipping the prescription
Any seller that ships prescription-only medication without a valid prescription is left out.
Hidden costs
If we can't see the real price or the key terms, we don't list it until we can.
Paid placement
We don't accept payment for a listing, a higher spot, or a "top pick" label.
How we keep it current
The VetRxNow team maintains every comparison and rechecks prices and terms on a regular schedule. As providers offer live data feeds, we will switch to them so prices update on their own.
Spot a mistake?
Prices change fast. If something looks wrong or out of date, tell us and we will check it and fix it. Always confirm the final price on the provider's site before you buy.

Why isn't my pharmacy or vet service listed?
Either it hasn't met our listing rules, or we haven't added it yet. We add providers all the time, starting with the ones pet owners ask about most.
Can a company pay to rank higher?
No. We don't sell placement, and what a partner pays us is never part of the order you see.
How often are prices updated?
We recheck on a regular schedule and record when each price was checked. Prices can change between checks, so confirm the final price on the provider's site.
Do you list providers that don't pay you?
Yes. Whether a provider has a referral program with us doesn't decide if they appear or where.
