1Who We Are
VetRxNow ("VetRxNow," "we," "us," or "our") operates vetrxnow.com, an independent comparison site and free member community for dog and cat owners. We help you compare prices and options for pet medications, online vet visits, and pet insurance, and we offer free member tools such as price alerts and refill reminders.
VetRxNow is not a pharmacy, veterinary practice, or insurance company. We do not sell products, dispense medication, provide veterinary advice, or sell insurance. When you choose an offer, you complete your purchase directly with that retailer or provider.
This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit our website or create a free account, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.
In short: We collect only what we need to run comparisons and the member tools you choose to use. We never sell your personal information, and we never share your name or email with retailers, affiliate networks, or charity partners.
2Information We Collect
Information You Provide
You can browse and compare prices without an account. If you create a free account or use member tools, we collect:
- Account information: Your email address, and your first name if you provide it
- Sign in with Google: If you choose Google, we receive your name and email address from Google. We do not receive your Google password or access to your Gmail, contacts, or other Google data
- Pet profile: Optional details you add about your pets, such as name, species, age, and weight
- Saved medications and preferences: Medications you save, refill dates, price alert settings, and email preferences
- Your country: So we can show prices and options available where you live
- Messages: Anything you send us, such as questions or feedback
Information Collected Automatically
When you visit our website, we automatically collect certain technical and usage information, including:
- IP address and approximate location (city or region level)
- Browser type, device type, and operating system
- Pages you view, searches you run, and how you arrived at our site
- Which offers you click, such as the retailer and product
- Whether you arrived through a charitable partner's page
Information From Third Parties
- Google: Your name and email address if you sign in with Google
- Affiliate networks and retailers: Reports on whether a click resulted in a purchase and the commission we earned. These reports identify the click, not you, and never include your payment details or prescription information
3How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Show price comparisons and options relevant to your pet and your country
- Create and secure your account and let you sign in
- Send the price alerts and refill reminders you set up
- Send account and service emails, such as sign-in links
- Send newsletters and member updates, which you can unsubscribe from at any time
- Confirm which purchases came through our links so we are paid our commissions
- Credit charitable partners for members and purchases they refer
- Understand how our site is used so we can improve it
- Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security problems
- Comply with legal, tax, and accounting obligations
We use information from Google sign-in only to create and sign in to your VetRxNow account. We do not use it for advertising.
4Affiliate Links & Retailers
VetRxNow is free to use because we earn a commission when you buy through some of our links. When you click an offer, such as "View deal," you leave our site and go to the retailer or provider's website.
- We add a tracking code to the link so the retailer or affiliate network knows the visit came from VetRxNow. This code is a reference number, not your name or email address
- The retailer or affiliate network may place its own cookies in your browser to track the referral
- Anything you provide on the retailer's site, including payment details, prescription information, and your vet's contact details, is collected by that retailer under its own privacy policy
Please note: We do not control how retailers, pharmacies, vet services, or insurers handle your information. Please review their privacy policies before you buy.
5How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing. We share information only as described below.
With Service Providers
We use trusted vendors to run VetRxNow. They may process information only on our behalf and under our instructions:
- Supabase: Secure database and account sign-in
- Webflow: Website hosting
- Email provider: Delivery of sign-in links, alerts, reminders, and newsletters
- Google Analytics: Website usage statistics
- Google: Sign in with Google, if you choose it
With Affiliate Networks and Retailers
When you click an offer, the retailer or affiliate network receives the click and our tracking code, as described in Section 4. We do not give them your name, email address, or pet profile.
For Legal Reasons
We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or government request, or if we believe it is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.
Business Transfers
If VetRxNow is acquired, merged, or sells its assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you before your information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
6Charitable Partners
VetRxNow works with animal welfare and other charitable organizations. If you visit or join through a partner's page, we record that referral so we can share part of our commissions with that partner.
What partners see: Charitable partners receive only totals, such as how many members joined through their page and the payouts they earned. We do not share your name, email address, pet details, or purchases with any charitable partner unless you give us permission.
7Cookies & Similar Technologies
We use cookies and similar browser storage for the following purposes:
- Essential: Keeping you signed in and remembering your settings
- Analytics: Google Analytics helps us understand how visitors use our site
- Affiliate tracking: Retailers and affiliate networks may set cookies when you click an offer, so purchases can be credited to VetRxNow
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block essential cookies, you may not be able to stay signed in. If we add advertising cookies in the future, we will update this policy first.
8Data Security
We use industry-standard safeguards to protect your information, including:
- Encryption of all data sent between your browser and our site (HTTPS)
- Database access rules that let only you view your pet profiles, saved medications, and alerts
- Passwordless sign-in through email links or Google, so we never store a password for you
- Limited internal access to personal information
⚠️ Note: No method of transmitting or storing data is 100% secure. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us right away at
privacy@vetrxnow.com.
9Data Retention
We keep personal information only as long as we need it:
- Account and pet profile: Kept while your account is active, and deleted when you delete your account
- Email preferences: Kept until you unsubscribe or delete your account
- Commission and referral records: Kept as long as needed for accounting, tax, and charitable partner payouts. These records refer to clicks and purchases, not your name or email
- Analytics data: Kept according to Google Analytics retention settings
You can ask us to delete your account at any time (see Section 10).
